About
Course Overview Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) is the discipline of extracting insights from geographic data in order to understand events, environments, and human activity. In a world increasingly shaped by spatial dynamics—urbanization, infrastructure expansion, climate change, and geopolitical competition—location-based analysis has become a critical capability. GEOINT integrates multiple types of information, including: satellite imagery geographic data environmental indicators human activity patterns This course introduces the analytical foundations required to transform raw geospatial data into actionable intelligence. Participants will learn how analysts interpret imagery, integrate geographic datasets, and apply spatial reasoning to real-world challenges. The course focuses not only on tools, but on methodology—the structured analytical thinking required for professional geospatial analysis. Learning Objectives By the end of this course participants will be able to: • understand the core principles of geospatial intelligence • interpret satellite imagery and remote sensing data • analyse spatial relationships using GIS concepts • apply geolocation techniques to verify events and locations • use geospatial analysis to support decision-making
